The Washington Post is proud to introduce Econ 101: Navigating the Economy, a new reporting line focused on current financial issues affecting all Americans. The series underscores The Post’s commitment to making critical, timely issues easy to understand and empowering them to make more informed decisions, especially in times of economic uncertainty.
“The US economy is experiencing changes that many Americans have never experienced before. This content will demystify some of these drivers and the impact they are having on people’s finances,” said Damian Paletta, deputy business editor at The Post. “We’re excited to expand The Post’s in-depth coverage of kitchen table topics at the intersection of finance.”
Using animation, the series examines current issues such as rising gas prices and housing costs. Two articles are now available: an easy-to-understand and digestible look at inflation and an examination of what’s driving record-high gas prices. Rates will continue to be rolled out quarterly through the end of the year.
As part of a broader collaboration with The Post, Morgan Stanley is not only sponsoring the Econ 101 series, but is also offering readers free digital access to the content in this series to ensure all readers have equal access to resources, tools and information who help to promote their financial self-determination.
“Providing readers with tools to understand the evolving world around us and using that knowledge to make smart financial decisions is core to what we do at Morgan Stanley,” said Alice Milligan, Chief Marketing Officers at Morgan Stanley. “That’s why we’re so proud to partner with The Post to bring content like this to readers for free, so they have the confidence to grow and achieve their financial goals, today and tomorrow.”
