JACKSON, Ms. (WJTV) – The annual Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade and Festival is upon us, and the city of Jackson is expecting a major economic boost from the event.

Saturday March 25th is the 40th annual Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade.

Taste of Mississippi returns to Eastover in the District in April

Event-goers can expect a pet parade, festival, and block parties. For the first time ever, the Sonic Boom of The South will be part of the event.

“We expect about 80,000 people, which translates to an estimated economic impact of about $3.5 million. This is a huge event for the City of Jackson and we look forward to this event,” said Visit Jackson’s Yolanda Clay-Moore.

Clay-Moore said money raised on the day of the parade will benefit Children’s of Mississippi.
