Emirates has added a fine sparkling wine to its inflight F&B offering in Premium Economy Class.
Chandon Vintage Brut 2016 is made from grapes grown in the Strathbogie and King Valley vineyards in Australia’s Victorian Mountains and is available exclusively to customers traveling in the Gulf Airline’s Premium Economy cabin.
A blend of 50 percent Pinot Noir, 45 percent Chardonnay and 5 percent Meunier, the wine is said to have “notes of lime and green apple” on the palate… “while hazelnut praline, biscuit and fresh dough add extra body”.
Emirates introduced its premium economy seat in late 2020and it was initially offered to customers as a free upgrade until the airline felt it had enough A380 aircraft operating the product to begin selling the cabin.
It can now be found on flights to destinations such as New York JFK, San Francisco, London Heathrow, Sydney, Auckland, Christchurch and Melbourne. Emirates is in the process of converting a total of 120 A380 and B777 aircraft.
