May 6 (Reuters) – Britain’s blue-chip index slid on Friday, with the owner of British Airways falling the most after disappointing earnings, while worries over the economy weighed on sentiment following a Bank of England recession warning.
The FTSE 100 (.FTSE) slipped 0.5% by 0727 GMT. The mid-cap index FTSE 250 (.FTMC) fell 0.8% and was on course for its biggest weekly decline in two months.
