Economic Survey 2023 Live Updates: Indian economy poised to do better, recovery complete, says CEA Anantha Nageswaran
India’s economy is set to grow 6% to 6.8% in fiscal 2023-24 versus the 7% forecast for the current year, according to the government’s annual economic report, presented to Parliament by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The report states that the base case growth for 2023/24 is 6.5%, with nominal growth, which takes inflation into account, forecast at 11%. The Economic Survey reviews the country’s economic and financial trends over the past year. It contains detailed data on all sectors and analyzes the development of agricultural and industrial production, infrastructure, employment, the rate of inflation, trade, foreign exchange reserves and other areas of the economy.
