According to a senior Chinese economist, China has reached a tipping point where it is impossible for the market to survive without turning away from its “wartime” anti-pandemic regime and returning the economy to normal.
“The system created over the past three years to combat the pandemic largely represented a return of the administrative governance system and a retreat from the market-oriented system,” said Liu Shouying, dean of the School of Economics at Renmin University China said Friday at the annual China Wealth Management 50 Forum.
