Wiebke Schwartauwho has launched a clothing line for tall women, has decided to take part in the German edition of 'Supermodel' to promote body positivity.

“I took part because I had never seen a very tall woman on television. And I knew how hard it was for me to literally grow up in a world that doesn't think that's nice,” the basketball player explained in words, reported by The Sun.

Schwartau made it clear about the show “Germany's Next Top Model” that “the format is questionable and I don't really support it, but I needed the platform”.

“As a child and teenager I wasn't a confident person, but basketball was always a safe place for me. It was a refuge and a constant in my life through which I was able to develop my self-confidence.”
