Another day, another drag race spin-off to watch!
Just weeks after the conclusion of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 7, Season 2 of RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race debuted on VH1 on Friday, August 12, and fans of the series may have noticed that things are a little different this time: For one, Mama Ru traded the usual drag race workspace for a stage in front of a live studio audience, adding the element of surprise to the show’s second season.
Nine celebrity cast members will go head-to-head in a lip-synched smackdown each week, but in The Masked Singer style – thanks to plenty of wigs, foundation and Elmer’s glue – their identities are hidden from both the audience and the jury, which also includes the usual Cast of RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley and Ross Matthews. One cast member is eliminated each week, and only then will the world find out who is behind all the makeup and masquerade.
At least that is the intended illusion. But after the first episode, in which we already had to say goodbye to a celebrity contestant, viewers seem to have figured out which famous people are part of the Secret Celebrity Drag Race season 2 cast.

Who are the celebs on Celebrity Drag Race?
Well, one thing we do know for sure is that the first contestant eliminated from RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race Season 2 was Loretta Devine, an actress and singer best known for her roles on stage (she was one of the original Dreamgirls!) and on the screen, including Waiting to Exhale, Crash and her Emmy-winning performance in Grey’s Anatomy. Devine performed under the drag name “Fabulosity,” lip-syncing to Mary J. Blige’s “Just Fine,” but was sadly told to “fly away” by Mama Ru in the first week.
While the other contestants have obviously not yet been announced on the show, viewers (including this writer) have made educated guesses as to who the rest of the cast might be. (Again, spoiler are way ahead!)

- Jenna UshkowitzMcHale’s Glee castmate, appears as “Milli Von Sunshine”.
Will Carson Kressley realize Lizzo-loving Jackie Would is his former Queer Eye co-star Thom Filicia? Are Glee fans freaking out to see castmates Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale reunite? And, more importantly, who do we think will win the whole thing?
