Snoop Dogg and Justin Bieber haven’t collaborated on any songs, but they’re putting their capital in the same spot.

MoonPay, a new crypto startup, is valued at over $3 billion thanks to key early contributions from Snoop Dogg, Bieber, and other contributing celebrities.

It’s one of many financial technology companies to achieve “unicorn status” — a term for a private company valued at more than $1 billion.

Bieber and Snoop Dogg are also two of the most well-known holders of Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs.

Tom Brady

Tom Brady is more than just an NFL quarterback — he’s a dynamic businessman with a track record of making wise investments.

When Under Armor approached Brady for an endorsement deal in 2010, he took stock of the company — in the years since, the value of that deal has increased by 800%.

Brady has been keeping bitcoin public since May 2021 and even rocked the laser-eye Twitter avi making crypto heads look like a uniform — although the price fell immediately after the photo was uploaded.

Like everything else he does, Brady is all in – he and his wife Gisele Bünchden bought shares in FTX, a crypto exchange company.

One thing we do know about Brady is that he can’t say no when he’s in a commercial – according to iSpot.tv he’s appeared in over 80,000 commercials.

Fans can expect more of the same in their partnership with FTX.

Like Brady, Matt Damon is a member of the Boston royal family.

Damon fronted Crypto.com in a series of CGI-heavy commercials.

He was skewered for peddling Krypto-Ganda in a spate of negative press and an episode of South Park.

Crypto.com has a major digital exchange where users can trade widely known tokens like Bitcoin, meme currencies like Dogecoin, NFTs, and other assets.

Hilton has an unwavering belief in the continued power of cryptocurrencies and NFTs — she reportedly started investing in crypto back in 2015.

In January 2022, when cryptocurrencies were in the doldrums, Hilton told CNBC, “I definitely see digital currencies rising [again]… Right now, as people say, I bought the dip.”

In the months since, Bitcoin’s price has risen by about $5,000 – Hilton has publicly reported on her ownership of the token and even welcomed Tom Brady to the Bitcoin team in a tweet.

Hilton goes modern on all fronts, hosting events in the metaverse as a DJ avatar.

Kim Kardashian caused a sensation in the crypto scene when she promoted the currency EthereumMax on her Instagram story – it backfired badly.

A class-action lawsuit accuses EthereumMax and the celebrities who promoted it of “making false or misleading statements to investors about EthereumMax through social media advertising and other promotional activities.”

EthereumMax was likely trying to capitalize on its similarity to the popular token Ethereum, even though the two currencies are unrelated.

The United States Congress

At least five members of Congress own crypto holdings, with the biggest investment coming from Senator Cynthia Lummis, who said she owns $100,000 worth of Bitcoin in 2021.

Members of Congress are not barred from buying digital assets, but it does raise the question of whether those who do should be able to legislate on cryptocurrencies.

Similarly, Senator Jon Ossoff defied Nancy Pelosi and the incumbent Democrats when he introduced legislation banning members of Congress from trading stocks — the Ban Congressional Trading Act makes no mention of crypto.

High-profile celebrities usually have the capital to make a risky investment — and stay rich, win or lose.

Investors should keep in mind that crypto markets are based on speculation – there are no guarantees.
