Music's most talented stars flocked to the 2024 Grammy Awards tonight, which started off on a very glamorous note thanks to their red carpet arrivals – while staying true to Hollywood tradition by showing off a series of fashion disasters that more Disaster as drama brought to the otherwise prestigious event.
Just moments into the red carpet, the stylish soiree was marred by a series of fashion fails, from garish patterns and color explosions to shockingly revealing dresses and silly silhouettes.
Singing sensation Sheila E was among the first big names to hit the carpet – making a very bold statement in a bright plaid sequin suit that featured all the colors of the rainbow and was so bright it's a wonder she did waiting photographers didn't notice. Sunglasses are not required.
She paired the look with a pair of silver sequin sneakers, which did little to distract from the clownish nature of the suit – however, she was by no means the only celebrity to miss the mark with her rainbow creations, with several stars left behind with glamor and a leaning towards circus style.
Singer Sheila E was among the first big names to hit the carpet – and made a very bold statement in a bright plaid sequin suit that was more circus than celebrity glamour. Yolanda Adams' neon pink suit jacket was hard enough to look at. Next up was Yolanda Adams, whose neon pink suit jacket was already hard to see due to the bright color, but the added rose embellishments made it even harder to see.
Like Sheila, Yolanda chose to pair the colorful garment with sequins, adding disco-inspired gold sparkly pants that might have hit the mark if worn with something a little less painful on the eyes.
Looking like she'd borrowed Carrie's blood-soaked ball gown – after adding a pair of scissors – Eryn Allen Kane hit the red carpet in a strapless white dress with a puffball skirt and a long train that was nothing unlike the one you'd wear on would expect from a wedding dress.
The silhouette hardly flattered her figure, but it was the red stain on the bodice that, paired with some tacky beaded embellishments, brought the whole look down even further.
