T.J. Holmes, Amy Robach’s ‘GMA3’ Drama: Celebrities React

After the scandal. Bethenny Frankel and more celebrities have kept up with the drama TJ Holmes and Amy Roebach‘s Good Morning America relationship continues to make waves.

The Coankers were caught cozying up multiple times in November despite being married to other people. Holmes, 45, tied the knot with a lawyer Marilee Fiebig 2010, the same year that Robach, 49, tied the knot Andrew Shue.

In photos released by the Daily Mail on November 30, the journalists – who have been co-hosting GMA3 since 2020 – were seen drinking in New York City. A second snap showed the duo holding hands in a car, while a third showed Holmes putting his hand on his colleague’s bum.

None of the ABC personalities have publicly addressed the alleged affair. They first returned for the third hour of the morning show on December 1, with Holmes teasing during the show, “Who’s looking forward to the weekend?” Robach raised her hand in response.

The Arkansas native and former NBC News correspondent “pretended everything was normal” when their relationship made headlines, a source exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month. “They carried on like any other day.”

According to the insider, the close bond between Holmes and Robach wasn’t a well-kept secret. “The GMA staff for the most part all knew something was going on between Amy and TJ, they were always playful with each other like two people meeting,” the source told Us, adding that “anyone in the office could tell.” there was a spark between them for months.”

While the cohosts appeared to be trying to shrug off the controversy, Us confirmed that ABC president Kim Godwin announced during an editorial meeting that Holmes and Robach will be decommissioned for the foreseeable future. Per TMZ, the exec called the off-camera drama an “internal and external distraction.”

Variety later reported that ABC News “wanted to do what was best for the organization,” though the two did not violate company policy. Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez completed at the Anchor Desk during the Monday, December 5 episode.

As the scandal continues to make waves, fans and celebrities have shared their hot shots online. Frankel, 52, applauded the network for putting its foot down.

“I think the way ABC has handled taking those two anchors off the air is very open and open,” she said in a TikTok uploaded hours after the announcement that Holmes and Robach were paused. “I like the straightness. It’s not against company policy, but it was a distraction and off-brand.”
