Stylist who has dressed celebrities opens new shop in Rawtenstall

The 25-year-old, who already has a store in Haslingden which opened in 2020, has opened another location at Rawtenstall Market.

The store stocks a range of clothing from everyday outfits to formal wear, as well as shoes and accessories.

Selene said she plans to open another store at Rawtenstall Market for Christmas following the popularity of her pop-up stall.

She said: “We did a pop up for Christmas and found a lot of people were happy to have us there.

“People come to our Haslingden location and tell us how much they miss us.

“We think the market is really emerging even with some great brands and companies.

“It’s a really nice place that companies think has a great vibe. It’s so nice to be there.

“Customers have been very positive so far and absolutely loved the new boutique.”

While customers are drawn to the unique clothing range that is updated weekly, Selene also believes customers appreciate the staff’s styling tips and advice.

Selene said, “I think clients appreciate our personal styling.

“We are very honest and we help people find clothes that look great but also feel comfortable.

“We love to educate our customers about basic garments and how they can be styled in many different ways.

“We also want to build a personal relationship with customers who love them.

“So many people come to us and say they just can’t find an outfit or that everyone seems to be wearing the same stuff these days.

“We will always have new items that not everyone wears.”

Selene is no stranger to putting outfits together and started her career as a stylist.

She’s even helped dress celebrities like Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice, blues singer Duncan James and Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson.

Selene said, “Before Unscripted, I had a career as a stylist. I helped dress celebrities doing red carpets and photo shoots for magazines like Ok! And hello.

“I found that people couldn’t put the outfits together, and so Unscripted was born.

“People come in and say, ‘If you’re good enough for Giovanni Pernice, you’re good enough for me’.”

Another Hollyoaks actress, Sarah Jayne Dunne, is reportedly a regular at the Haslingden store.

“Sarah often comes to the boutique with her mom and they make it a day,” Selene said.

“It’s great because she always gets snapped by the paparazzi and we get featured in some magazines, which really boosts our business.”

After tough battles in the pandemic, Selene said she’s excited for the future and can’t wait to see where her business takes next.

She said: “We are very excited about the future of the Rawtenstall store and can’t wait to get to know the people in the community even better.

“Running Unscripted wasn’t always easy. We signed for our Haslingden building just as Covid was hitting.

“It’s been a real journey, but an exciting one.”
