Strictly Come Dancing professionals battling to partner with two celebrities ahead of ` show start date
Strictly Come Dancing is just weeks away and the pro stars are already at odds as they set their sights on two celebrity partners.
The ` ballroom dancing show is set to return next month and a slew of celebrities will take the stage to compete to take home the Glitterball trophy. However, the professional dancers reportedly revealed their favorite candidates to ` bosses at the start of training.
The Strictly cast includes Amanda Abbington, Les Dennis, Bobby Brazier, Zara McDermott and many more.
From behind the scenes, it has been reported that former ‘Love Island’ star Zara and EastEnders darling Bobby are the top picks from the professional dancers.
A source said: “Zara and Bobby are absolute favourites.”
“All the dancers want to be paired with them because they both have great potential on the dance floor,” the source told The Sun. “There’s a battle between the pros as they all try to convince the bosses to get the best pairing.”

“They know their airtime is largely dependent on how talented their celebrity couple is, so as of this writing it’s all in.”
Early training begins with group practice where the celebrities and dancers allow the bosses to try out different pairings and spot the chemistry. The insider added, “Les Dennis raised a few eyebrows. He will not be the prankster at all. He is serious.

“And Angela Rippon amazed everyone with how fast she walked the dance floor.”
Gorka Marquez, who finished second three times, appears to have his eye on Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach. It is believed this is due to Gorka’s domestic situation as he recently gave birth to a baby with Gemma Atkinson and they live in Manchester where Ellie also lives.
All-professional Amy Dowden will be absent from this year’s installment of the series after being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer earlier this year. After a mastectomy, Amy revealed that she had a second diagnosis of cancer and was unable to dance due to chemotherapy.
