Shah Rukh Khan added another feather to his career when he became the No. 1 star in the Top 50 Asian Celebrities in the World. The official list was unveiled on Friday.
After him, Alia Bhatt secured the second position while Priyanka Chopra secured the third position.
Diljit Dosanjh and Ranbir Kapoor are also among the top celebrities. The list was published by the British weekly newspaper Eastern Eye.

An excerpt from the aforementioned list about Shah Rukh: “Khan will be the first leading man of modern times to have three major Bollywood blockbuster hits in a calendar year.” By luring a large audience back to the cinema halls with global juggernauts, the “Actors a great success gave the film industry, which was in deep decline, a much-needed boost and had a transformative effect.”
“The history-making superstar outshone all others with his brilliance and reminded global audiences what escapist Bollywood cinema is capable of,” it continued.
Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Dunki. Starring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal, the film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film will be released on December 21st.
The list is said to be based on top celebrities and their contributions to work, breaking boundaries and being an inspiration over the years. It is also intended to include public opinion as readers can nominate their favorite star for the list via social media.
Alia Bhatt is second only to Shah Rukh Khan with her work in Bollywood and Hollywood. She made her Hollywood debut with “Heart Of The Stone”. Priyanka Chopra secured third place for her major projects Citadel and Love Again, humanitarian work and lighting the red carpet at international events.
Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh took fourth place for his work in films and international music collaborations. Diljit's last collaboration was with Sia. He also gained great recognition for his performance at the Coachella festival. Ranbir Kapoor came sixth.
