Despite the difficulties she faced, Somers was always known for her infectious smile. Pop culture expert Chris Mann described her as the “ultimate Hollywood survivor” who always managed to find humor in every situation. She had a difficult childhood with an alcoholic father, which took a heavy toll on her and her family.
In her book: “Two’s Company: A Fifty-Year Romance with Lessons in Love, Life, and Business“, she revealed the dark moments she experienced while hiding in fear of her abusive father.
