THe Cannes Film Festival is in full swing in the south of France, and film fans will get incredible insights into upcoming films and the personal lives of the actors.
The biggest standing ovation in Cannes so far was for the premiere of “Killers of the Flower Moon”.
The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert DeNiro And Lily Gladstoneand tells the story of a dark and largely unexplored chapter in American history. It seemed to appeal to theatergoers on the French Riviera.
Robert De Niro calls Donald Trump ‘stupid’
It was at the screening of this film Robert DeNiro criticized donald trumpcalled him a “stupid” man and likens the former president to the perverted power player he plays Martin Scorseseis the crime epic that premiered on Saturday night.
“I don’t understand much about my character,” he says.
“Part of him is sincere. The other part is that he betrays.” [the Osage people]there is a sense of entitlement.
The Oscar winner then drew a parallel between the villain of the story and the former US President, whom he initially only alluded to.
“It’s the banality of evil, we have to be wary of that,” he said.
“Of course we see it today. We all know who I’m going to talk about, but I won’t say the name.”
“This guy is stupid. Imagine being smart. Even.” William Hale was wise in many ways.
