Pointless Celebrities: EastEnders’ Emma Barton’s real age, rockstar boyfriend and co-star who had a crush on her
EastEnders actress Emma Barton will join her former Strictly Come Dancer partner Anton Du Beke in the celebrity version of Pointless in an episode to air Saturday night (12 August).
The 46-year-old has become a jewel in Albert Square’s crown since taking on the role of Honey Mitchell on the ` One soap opera in 2005. Her character has since experienced turbulent ups and downs, including battling an eating disorder, domestic violence, and a frowned upon relationship with Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick).
In recent times, Honey has become a tower of strength as she supports the Mitchells following the death of Lola Pearce. But tonight, the soap star takes the spotlight as she will appear alongside Strictly Judge Anton Du Beke as the pair hope to raise money for their chosen charities. Emma has been dating music producer Jason Perry, former frontman of British rock band A, for several months and couldn’t look happier. She appeared to confirm the romance back in March, when she posted a photo next to her boyfriend while they enjoyed some downtime at Soho House.
Last week, Emma shared a video on Instagram with some of her best photos from a recent trip to Italy with Jason. Alongside the cute video, she wrote: “Tuscany is beautiful. What wonderful days to be spoiled in Florence and Lucca. A wonderful stay at @grottagiusti.”
“Culture, music, art, love, food, drink, weather… and thrown in a few mosquito bites… (but we’ll ignore them)”. Jason responded to the post and said, “Loved every second with you @theemmabarton x.”
Emma was previously married to attorney Nigel Stoat in 2002 before separating in 2005.

In an interview with The Sun, Emma addressed Jamie Borthwick’s desire to “marry” her despite the 17-year age difference. Jamie, who was only 14 when he first met Emma, said: “I fell in love with her long, shapely legs and wanted to marry her.”
The Jay Brown actor has been open about his crush on Emma for 16 years, but she doesn’t quite return his crush. Emma said that Jamie “used to kiss me on set and before I walked in, he said to me, good luck Em, good luck Em.”
However, she sees him more as a “little brother”. The couple subsequently recounted an on-screen romance, but due to the Covid restrictions on set at the time, they were unable to actually engage in any physical activity on set.
Emma said at the time: “The difficult thing is that we are subject to these Covid restrictions and therefore cannot show closeness, which is a bit of a shame in a new relationship. And Jamie’s a little upset about that.” !”
