Pointless Celebrities: Devon Anderson’s life including rise to fame and shock EastEnders exit

Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman are back with a celebrity version of ‘Pointless’ on Saturday night (May 27) and actor Devon Anderson is set to take part in the ` quiz show.

The 35-year-old from Greenwich is famous for portraying Billie Jackson in EastEnders in two stations. He first came to Walford in 1993, where he was the subject of a kidnapping story, before departing four years later in 1997.

His character Billie was the half-brother of EastEnders icon Bianca Jackson, played by Patsy Palmer, but was recast as Bluey Robinson in 2004. But in 2010, Devon once again took the reins as Billie in a heartbreaking final exit story for the character.

Billie returned to Albert Square with other members of the Jackson family in 2010 and enjoyed a romance with Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), but life on the Square wasn’t meant to be like this. He died of alcohol poisoning in October of that year in a heartbreaking story that brought fans to tears.

He died in his sleep after drinking a large bottle of vodka and choking on his own vomit in his sleep. Bianca found her brother dead on the sofa at her family home.

Devon’s Rise to Fame

Before landing the role of Walford actress Billie Jackson, Devon landed the role of Jack in 1997’s Spice World The Movie before landing the role of Dan in the 2002 film Thunderpants.
