The green has now become the great passion of the former footballer, including Tottenham and Real Madrid.

That he could soon decide on a new career, on the green. Gareth Frank Baleis is a former Welsh footballer who played as a forward. Regarded as one of the best footballers of his generation, he grew up in Southampton’s youth academy, a team with which he made his professional debut.

In the summer of 2007, aged 18, he joined Tottenham where he established himself as one of the brightest prospects of his generation, winning an English League Cup and winning the PFA’s Best Player of the Year twice in singles (2011 and 2013).

In the summer of 2013 he moved to Real Madrid for a total of 100 million euros.[8] making it the most expensive purchase in football history at the time. With the Spanish side he won three Spanish league titles, one King’s Cup, three Spanish Super Cups, five UEFA Champions Leagues, three UEFA Super Cups and four FIFA Club World Cups.

With the Wales national team, for which he holds the record for appearances and goals, he has participated in two editions of the European Championships (2016 and 2020) and one of the World Cups (2022). On 2 June 2022 he was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire for sporting and humanitarian services by Queen Elizabeth II.

A highly versatile player, he can be used in numerous roles: left or right winger, attacking midfield, half-striker and left-back when needed, his original role.
