The resignation of former governor and presidential nominee for 2023 Mr. Peter Obi caused a stir in both the political and entertainment communities on Wednesday after he announced he was leaving the People’s Democratic Party ahead of the party’s presidential election.
Naija News previously reported that the The former governor of the state of Anambra submitted his letter of resignation in the national PDP secretariat by his campaign manager Doyin Okupe.
Obi’s departure reportedly came as the politician expressed fears he would be humiliated at the Abuja congress.
Following development, some top guns in the entertainment industry weighed in and threw their weight in support of the former governor’s decision.
