PETA president drafts new will, various body parts bequeathed to politicians, celebrities

Part of her backbone to Donald Trump Jr., part of her heart to Elon Musk, and her guts to Salt Bae — these are some of the dying wishes of the President of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

In Ingrid Newkirk’s recently updated will, she left interesting and strange bequests to raise awareness of animal abuse after her death, according to PETA’s Monday press release.

The press release said the leader’s original will was written 20 years ago and needed to be updated. One change she made in the New Testament concerned her plan to leave the Ringling Bros. and the Barnum and Bailey Circus – originally Newkirk left her index finger to symbolize “the greatest accusation in the world”.

The circuses have stopped using animals and are receiving a thumbs-up from Newkirk in thanks, the press release said.

“On his deathbed, they asked Bob Hope where he wanted to be buried, and he said, ‘Surprise me,'” Newkirk said. “In my case, I will hope that even after my death, I can continue to surprise those who harm animals, spark conversations about speciesism, and speak out against animal abuse.”

Her new will includes other wishes, such as sending a piece of her windpipe to the Westminster Kennel Club, her lung to the Governor of Alaska, an ear to the King of Spain, and one of her feet to The North Face.

Several things from her original will made the cut for her new one, like roasting her flesh for a human barbecue, sawing off her other foot for an umbrella stand, and using her skin to make a leather belt and handbag.
