“One perk of being Usher’s ex is Super Bowl access!

usher's most recent marriage to Jennifer Goicoechea in Las Vegas caused quite a stir, especially among his ex-wife, Tameka Foster, who performed at his Super Bowl halftime appearance. Foster, who was married to Usher from 2007 to 2009 and has two teenage children, shared her thoughts on the entire situation.

Foster expressed mixed feelings about participating Super Bowl as Usher's ex and explained, “One of the benefits of having Usher as an ex is attending the Super Bowl. These are facts.” She also humorously added, “I won't date anyone who can't take me to the Super Bowl. That wouldn't be my path. But seeing Usher perform was definitely a benefit.”

The halftime show with Usher along with Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, HER, Lil Jon and Will.i.am, was a highlight for Foster. She described the experience as “phenomenal” and emphasized that she had a great time at the game.

When asked about her current feelings about Usher's new relationship, Foster remained positive, saying, “Love is love – as long as he finds love, no matter what stage of his life he's at. I always encourage him to have good habits.”

However, she also reflected on the challenges she faced during her relationship with Usher, particularly unfair backlash based on the color of her skin. Expressing her frustration, she explained, “I wasn’t loved for that… That’s the worst thing about me, in my opinion. I just don't feel like black people's love is accepted anymore. Unfortunately, I think that’s a thing of the past.”

Foster calls for a change of narrative

Foster also discussed the impact of societal attitudes on her self-esteem at the time, highlighting the lack of support she received from some women. She emphasized the need to change the narrative and find men who subscribe to these values.

Despite the challenges she's faced, Foster remains focused on her own ventures, including her upcoming TV show “Bold & Bougie” on WE tv. She expressed her excitement about this new project and humorously mentioned the downsides of constantly being asked about Usher in interviews.
