Nostalgia Con brings ‘90s, ‘00s voice actors and celebrities to San Antonio this weekend

SAN ANTONIO – Fans of the 1990s and 2000s can turn back time at Nostalgia Con this weekend.

Nostalgia Con takes place Friday through Sunday at the Henry B. González Convention Center in downtown San Antonio.

The '90s and '00s-themed event will feature artists, vendors and celebrity guests, including a reunion with the cast of the anime series “Pokémon.”

“Have you ever longed for the chance to relive a beloved day from your childhood? “Nostalgia Con offers a journey into your past where you can reconnect with the people who made it extraordinary,” the event’s website says. “Join us on a short escape from reality and treat yourself to a shared nostalgic experience.”

Here are some of the celebrity guests attending Nostalgia Con this weekend:

  • Veronica Taylor from “Pokémon”

  • Bam Margera, from “Jackass” and “Viva La Bam”

  • Phil Lamarr, from “Samurai Jack” and “Mad TV”

  • Zeno Robinson, from “Pokémon”

  • Dan Green, from “You-Gi-Oh!”

  • Samantha Kelly, who voices Princess Peach and Toad for Nintendo's Mario games

  • Dameon Clarke from “Dragon Ball Z”

  • Jason Paige from “Pokémon”

  • Lisa Ortiz, from “Slayers” and “Sonic”

  • Lindsey Shaw, Devon Werkheiser and Daniel Curtis Lee, from “Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide”

  • Jason Marsden from “A Goofy Movie”

  • Power Rangers' Walter Jones, Tracy Lynn Cruz, Blake Foster and Phillip Andrew

Those who want to attend can still purchase VIP tickets for $250, single-day tickets for $45 and three-day tickets for $100. Children up to 8 years old have free entry.

VIP tickets provide access to all activities Friday through Sunday, as well as official merchandise, priority access for autographs and photo ops, early access and a limited edition art print.

A separate price is charged for autographs and photo ops. According to the event website, each celebrity guest sets their own fees.

There will also be live performances, illustrators, tattoo artists and a gaming tournament.

Opening times are Friday 12pm to 9pm, Saturday 10am to 10pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm.
