It wasn’t that long ago that we were ooh and ahh over Michelle Williams’ S-wave bob – I mean, it really was the perfect hairstyle for the red carpet. But now, fit for the 95th Academy Awards, the transformation tops the actress herself off with a cropped pixie haircut. After all, the Oscars would be the only place to go if you debuted a dramatic chop, right?
Alongside Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Kendall Jenner (aka the usual go-to celebs for all things beauty-spo), Michelle took the red carpet by storm from head to toe last night. While fashion director Kate Young took care of styling *that* sensational Chanel dress, make-up artist Angela Levin, nail tech Top Bachik and hairstylist Chris McMillan worked together as the ultimate beauty team.
Well, as much as we love Michelle’s red lip and silver lining manicure, the latter of the aforementioned trio is the one we’re particularly committed to because all we’re on is Michelle’s new seasonal cut. The mastermind behind said look, Chris, took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes snaps of the star’s new look.

As shown in the eight-part carousel post above, Michelle is now sporting a classic version of the midi-length pixie cut that features eyebrow-stripping bangs and longer, face-framing layers.

Styled in a soft blowout, Chris teases all the products used to achieve Michelle’s new look, trimmed to perfection, including the Kérastase Huile Discipline Oleo-Relax, £41.22. This movement control oil is designed to smooth curly, frizzy and thick hair, leaving your locks smooth and supple as perfectly shown above.
