Ace Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has found love in Adeoti Kazim for the third time. Her path to finding love again has not been a rosy one, however, as the actress ended her last marriage to Lanre Gentry over domestic violence.

In a messy split, the actress shared videos and pictures of her injured body with the world via her social media accounts. In several posts, she claimed that her then-husband, Lanre Gentry, inflicted the assault.

Tiwa Savage

Based on some revelations by superstar singer Tiwa Savage while giving hits to the world in the early stages of her career, she was beaten up at home by her manager-turned-ex-husband Tunji Balogun aka Tee Billz.

The actress said in an interview shortly after she split from Tee Billz that while she brought joy to the faces of her friends and fans through her craft, she ended up with black eyes and swollen lips when she was at some point in the marriage of Tee Billz beaten.

Popular on-air personality-turned-actor Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has also claimed to have been a victim of domestic violence. The OAP, who has also found love again, shared via his social media account images of scars he received from his ex-wife, who he said attacked him while they were together.

Another popular personality who has spoken openly about being a victim of domestic violence is the lovely actress Monalisa Chinda.

In 2014, the actress opened up about domestic violence from her first marriage to Dejo Richard. Now the actress and public relations officer for the Actors Guild of Nigeria is happily married.

Also energetic actress-turned-singer Tonto Dikeh has spoken out about being a victim of domestic violence. Her ex-husband, Oladunni Churchill, physically assaulted her on numerous occasions during their marriage.
Speaking in an interview about what she experienced during her previous marriage, Dikeh opened up and claimed that her then-husband hit her several times during their union.
