Famous rich people Kim Kardashian and Scott Disick are being sued for allegedly operating a lottery scam in which people’s personal information was stolen for solicitation purposes.

The lawsuit alleges that the couple orchestrated a lottery scam in which the winner receives $100,000 and two tickets to LA, according to TMZ. Also included in the prize package was a reportedly free 3-day stay in town to “shop like Kim Kardashian.”

The class action lawsuit consists of people who entered the lottery but did not win. They say the real purpose of the lottery was simply to reveal their personal information, and since entering the contest “have been ambushed by hundreds of advertisers, some of whom prompt the claimants with potentially offensive and objectionable content,” the statement said Legal action .

The claim was that the “winner” accounts were made private after winning and may not have existed at all. Disick, Kardashian and Curated Businesses, the company behind the lottery, are all named in the lawsuit.

Curated Businesses told TMZ that the lottery is 100 percent legitimate and that they have the documentation to prove they actually picked winners.

The company says it has “a trusted reputation and years of experience with a proven track record of running successful campaigns in Australia and beyond”.

“We connect with the most influential celebrities in the world and quickly bring followers to your brand. Our clients are being offered an exclusive opportunity to gain global recognition and brand growth.”

Disick is credited as the main organizer of the lottery and his famous rich TV friends all helped popularize it including Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Kylie Jenner. Overall, the lottery reached millions of people.

Plaintiffs are seeking $20 million from each party named in the case. However, the company’s landing page has a “Frequently Asked Questions” section that has a list of past campaign winners. Under a section titled “How will the winner be selected?” the company provides the following answer:

“We are using the services of a third party to conduct a random drawing of all eligible entrants. They are Australian Government approved and compliant. As required by Australian law, we also engage the services of a fully qualified independent auditor to oversee the random drawing.”

One of the supposed winners goes to social media handle @nana_billions. On August 31, they posted:

“Pinch meeeeeeeee! I scream omg this is surreal! @[email protected]_businesses_legal Thank you! I’m in shock.”

It remains to be seen whether this will hold up in court. We’ll keep you posted as things develop.
