Kim Jong-Un has joined celebrities, world leaders, global icons and religious leaders to pay tribute to the Queen on her platinum anniversary.

The 38-year-old North Korean dictator praised Her Majesty, 96, for her dedication to the ministry in a letter – and the likes of Hugh Jackman, Harry Kane and Catherine-Zeta Jones also paid tribute to her.

The North Korean Foreign Ministry confirmed on its website that “Mr. Kim” sent a letter congratulating the Queen and the British people.

But officials refused to reveal the contents of the letter, calling it a private correspondence with the monarch.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “Kim Jong Un’s private message to Her Majesty The Queen on the occasion of her Platinum Jubilee falls in line with standard practice of receiving messages from countries with which we have diplomatic relations.”

It comes after the Queen offered Kim her best wishes in a message marking his country’s National Day last September.

Her note read, “As the people of the DPRK celebrate their National Day, I send my good wishes for the future.”
