Gabrielle Union, Margot Robbie, Zendaya, more

It's Oscar Sunday and the energy and fashion on the red carpet is through the roof of the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

If you're a fan of cinema, the Oscars are the awards show you've been waiting for, as Hollywood's A-listers step out in their most elegant ensembles and remind us: “This is what a star looks like!”

While a select few opted for a pop of color, other celebrities opted to keep it classic in timeless black ensembles, like Jamie Lee Curtis, Rita Moreno and Vanessa Hudgens (who attended the Oscars in a pair after revealing her baby bump on the carpet appeared). Others went for sparkle with sparkly dresses, like Emily Blunt and Becky G.

Without the ceremony of an Oscar envelope, we present our picks for the best dressed in no particular order.

List of Oscars 2024 winners:See who took home Oscar gold, including the Best Picture and Best Actor categories.

America Ferrera

There she is, Mrs. America!

Hello Barbie! We mean America!

The best supporting actress nominee recognized her film “Barbie,” the highest-grossing film of 2023, by wearing pink at the festivities. Fitting like a glove, the shimmering Versace dress looks like it was pulled straight from Barbie's Dreamhouse closet.

Zendaya

The one and only Zendaya.

We applaud Zendaya for her choice, which feels like a breath of fresh air. While many opt for the Oscars, this dress is a vibrant and refreshing look from Armani/Privé that mixes soft pink and metallic sequins.

Lupita Nyong'o

Lupita Nyong'o prevails against her best-dressed competition.

Crystals, feathers and an impeccable fit. Lupita Nyong'o's Armani/Privé dress in an ice blue hue is the epitome of glamour!

Gabrielle Union

Don't worry about having to play us off stage because we're speechless!

Someone certainly wasn’t afraid to “bring it.”

Gabrielle Union told Laverne Cox E!'s “Live from the Red Carpet” that her bejeweled custom Carolina Herrera gown was “one and done.” Union, feeling very confident in her look, accessorized with a diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co.

Emma Stone

Emma Stone is no slouch at the Oscars. She is one of our best dressed!

Emma Stone's strapless peplum-waist Louis Vuitton dress makes us believe that some things are just great.

And we wouldn't be forgiven if we didn't mention the Poor Things actress' beauty. The highlighter really makes Stone shine.

Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie wears a chic Versace dress.

Like her “Barbie” co-star Ferrera, Margot Robbie also chose a Versace chainmail dress for Sunday’s party.

The bodycon dress had a similar silhouette to Ferrera's, but was ruched at the hips.

Colman Domingo

Some men, like Colman Domingo, just get it.

Alexa, play Sharp Dressed Man. On repeat! And LOUD!

Colman Domingo looked perfect in a Louis Vuitton tuxedo with exquisite hardware and boots, which he paired with David Yurman jewelry. Domingo said on E!'s pre-show that he wanted to shine like a diamond, and he did.

Anya Taylor Joy

When it comes to dressing, Anya Taylor-Joy is always playing chess.

It wouldn't be a euphemism to say that we're mesmerized by Dune: Part Two star AnyaTaylor-Joy's Dior gown.

The curved neckline is fresh and the skirt gives us mermaid vibes.

Florence Pugh

Florence Pugh looks seaworthy.

Florence Pugh also followed suit in a silver ensemble that also evoked the open water thanks to its crystal-clear water drops.

The corset top of her Del Core design featured a silhouette reminiscent of an octopus.

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria, whose film “Flamin' Hot” received a nomination for best original song, said on E!'s “Live from the Red Carpet” that she chose something different for the occasion.

A far cry from “Desperate,” one of USA TODAY's Women of the Year picks dazzled in an off-the-shoulder velvet dress by Tamara Ralph Couture that didn't detract from her stunning diamond choker.

Vanessa Hudgensappears to show off her baby bump on the Oscars red carpet
