According to Tourism Minister Sarmad Hafeez, the Ministry of Tourism has planned a variety of activities in Kashmir as a travel destination due to the feedback from across the country. “The New Year’s Eve events like the Snow Carnival would be a great source of leisure time for tourists and locals visiting the health resorts of Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg, etc.,” says Hafeez. He said there is a huge focus on getting tourists to follow the COVID-19 guidelines, which the department is raising holidaymakers’ awareness of.
Hafeez said a major cultural festival had been organized in Pahalgam to attract more tourists on New Year’s Eve.
