When you look at a celebrity (or niche microcelebrity), your first thought probably isn’t whether they can cook. But that’s exactly why Worst cooks in America exists. The show originally attempted to find America’s worst home cooks, but eventually began including some of these minor celebrities as well. This inclusion brought even more viewers to the show, who recognized these people from their previous endeavors and wondered if they could actually cook, and enjoyed the glee of seeing famous people hilariously fail. Worst Cooks in America has become so popular that it currently has a whopping 24 seasons.
Part of the celebrity squadron’s popularity lies in the pattern for its casting. It seems like they’re trying to pick a mix of beloved childhood celebrities to invoke nostalgia and pair them with controversial figures that might increase viewership. It’s up to you to decide where the following people fall on this scale, but it seems that this method works pretty well for the worst cooks in America, and the following celebrities tend to be fan favorites.
5 Jenni “JWoww” Farley
Anyone who missed the Jersey Shore cultural moment might not recognize the name JWoww. Fans of the show know JWoww as a messy party girl who’s always up for a good time. Fans may not know that JWoww isn’t a great chef either. Since Jersey Shore ended a few years ago, JWoww has been taking the time to start a family and get away from her party girl days. That personal growth appears to have included becoming a better chef, going so far as to win her season of worst chefs.
Outside of her appearance on Worst Cooks, JWoww has struggled to stay out of the spotlight, instead focusing on her personal life. JWoww has come a long way since her Jersey Shore days, but she can never really leave the shore behind.

4 Kendra Wilkinson
Kendra Wilkinson à la Girls Next Door starred in the same season of Worst Cooks as JWoww. A Playboy bunny for many years, Wilkinson appeared on Girls Next Door, a show about some of the girls who lived in the Playboy mansion. Wilkinson then appeared on other reality shows and has been consistently on for many years. So it didn’t come as a huge surprise to see Wilkinson in Worst Cooks, as it’s immediately apparent that she’s a bad cook.
However, as time went on, Wilkinson did quite well in her season and was neck and neck with JWoww until the finals when Wilkinson lost. After her appearance on Worst Cooks,Wilkinson has been more focused on her personal life away from the cameras and may have been cooking for her family a little more.
3 Nicole Sullivan
You might not recognize Nicole Sullivan by her name, but she’s quite a prominent sitcom actress; From her frequently funny moments on the classic sketch comedy show MADtv to her work on classic family sitcoms like King of Queens, she’s likely graced your screen at some point. She played the comedic best friend in King of Queens, a role loved by fans, so it was exciting for her to appear in Worst Cooks, where she was frequently the funniest cook in the room.
Sullivan enjoyed great success among other bad celebrity chefs, making it to the finals of their season. Unfortunately, Sullivan lost to a formidable competitor, Perez Hilton. Since appearing on the show, fans have last seen Sullivan on the virtual table reading King of Queens to raise money for charity.

Perez Hilton, the king of cheap celebrity gossip, is now the king of the best of the worst chefs. Many people don’t know Hilton by his face, much less his name, which is actually not even real. Hilton chose the name to sound more relevant, especially in the celebrity gossip world where you have to know someone to get good gossip. Hilton isn’t known for being a tall man, but apparently he’s not known for being a good cook either. However, Hilton went as far as winning his season of the show and becoming the best of the worst celebrity chef. Perhaps instead of spreading gossip about underage and trying to ruin careers, Hilton should focus on cooking again.
1 Tony Harding
Yes, this Tonya Harding was at Worst Cooks in America. It’s hard to believe that a bad cook is the worst thing she’s done in her life, but that’s beside the point. Prior to her appearance on Worst Cooks, Harding appeared on Dancing with the Stars, in which she got pretty far with partner Sasha Farber.
Both appearances came shortly after the release of Me, Tonya in 2018. The film’s release put Harding back in the spotlight, which she was more than willing to mollify. During this time, Harding appeared on many red carpets, did many interviews about the film and her skating career, and had several reality TV appearances. In fact, Harding went so far as to win her worst chef season and finally get the crown she’s wanted for so many years.
