The 2024 Met Gala, dubbed fashion's biggest night, took place on Monday, May 6, in New York City. The event featured Hollywood A-listers alongside personalities from fashion, sports, politics and many other fields showcasing avant-garde fashion at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. While the 2024 Met Gala is officially over this year, the event has breathed new life into social media . Of all the celebrities who graced the carpet with their flamboyant looks, popular K-pop group Stray Kids seemed to be the most talked-about attendee.
According to the microblogging platform's latest data, over 29 million Met Gala-related posts were shared, followed by nearly 400 million video views. In total, the Met Gala content on X received around 4 billion total views.
Stray Kids take over Met Gala 2024
The South Korean boy band made their debut at the 2024 Met Gala on Monday, also becoming the first K-pop group to attend the fashion gala. The group of eight arrived in Tommy Hilfiger's signature red, white and blue suits with gold floral details in a nod to The Garden of Time event's dress code.
According to the X-Data, Stray Kids were the most mentioned celebrities on the platform, followed by Zendaya in second place, Ariana Grande in third, Lana del Rey in fourth and Kim Kardashian in fifth.

Additionally, according to Brandwatch data, the group also topped the list of most-talked about celebrities at the gala, with over 533,000 mentions. That's not it, because the gala stay also made Felix the K-pop idol with the most followers on Instagram.
While Stray Kids aren't the first K-pop artists to attend the Met Gala, others like Psy, Rose of BLACKPINK, and Jackson Wang of Jennie, CL, and Got7 also attended the event. However, this is the first time an entire group has been invited.
Stray Kids are making their summer comeback in July
Months after their last release in November 2023, Stray Kids is now preparing for their highly anticipated comeback on July 19th. According to Korean media, the group will release their next domestic album. Before that, Star Kids will release a special single titled “Lose My Breath” featuring Charlie Puth on May 10th.
