Drew Barrymore recently had an interview where she spoke about her messy upbringing from her eccentric father, John Drew Barrymore just doused with lemons and olive oil to her Mom who took her to parties at Studio 54.
According to Page Six, Drew Barrymore couldn’t wait for her mother to die, but she wants her to be okay and live her life.
Speaking to New York Magazine, she mentioned: “All their mothers are gone and my mother is not. And I’m like, ‘Well, I don’t have that luxury.’ But I can’t wait,”

She explained “I don’t want to live in a state where I wish someone would die sooner than they should so that I can grow. Actually, I want her to be happy, thriving and healthy. But I have to f- King is growing even though she’s on this planet.“
However, later in the interview, the ET actress expressed regret over her harsh comments.
Drew Barrymore admitted she felt bad about what she said: “I dared to say it and I didn’t feel good,” she said. “It is important to me. I will never care. I don’t know if I’ve ever known how to completely protect, lock, not feel, build the Wall.”
In another interview, the ET star went to the Howard Stern Show to talk about her upbringing “I think she created a monster and didn’t know what to do with the monster“.

Barrymore claimed that she did not blame her mother, Jaid Barrymore, for her upbringing. “I make a conscious choice not to look at my life in terms of things done to me,” she said. “I want to see it as the things I’ve done and the things I wanted to do. I’m not attracted to people who blame others. I don’t find it sexy.”
