The Sunrise host described Ford as “one of the grumpiest guys I’ve ever met in my life.”

“Which really bugs me because they get paid a lot of money to make movies and promote them,” he said.

Kochie explained that on the occasion when he met Ford, the actor “obviously didn’t want to promote the movie” he was set to speak about.

“The first interview I did with him, I said, ‘Dude, obviously you don’t want to be here, so let’s not waste our viewers’ time.’ Thank you for joining us.”

“He got the shock of his life. They were one-word answers. Dude, you’re here to screen and sell your film,” Kochie recalled.

Kochie also described Bieber as “a little goofy and a little rude to the crew” when he first arrived at Brekky Central.

“But he was a little boy and we’ve had him with us a number of times since then – and it was really nice to see that cheeky, almost cheeky little boy turn into a really decent human being,” he said.

Other celebs the Sunrise star spoke about included Katy Perry – who he described as “one of the nicest ladies you’ve ever met” – and Matt Damon, with whom Kochie admitted to having a “bromance”.

But it was The Sound of Music actress Julie Andrews for whom Kochie saved his biggest tribute.

“I went to her with shaky legs. She was everything you imagine her to be. Charming, stately…” Kochie said, adding that he had a look of “adoration” on his face during their encounter.

Kochie also spoke about the three co-hosts he’s worked with on “Sunrise” over the years – Melissa Doyle, Sam Armytage and Natalie Barr.

“The reality is I sat next to them and I talked to them more than I did to Lib,” he said of his wife Libby.

“How often do you sit next to (your spouse) for three and a half hours and talk for three and a half hours? you never do

“I did it with these beautiful ladies and they are all different.

“But what they have in common is that they all have a sense of humor, they all have great values and they are all down to earth.

“And get up and do the work that we do, if you didn’t keep going, you’d never make it. You would just leave.”
