Tonight, SBS VICELAND will premiere Deep Fake Neighbor Wars, a groundbreaking TV series that is the first of its kind to use deep fake technology in a long narrative.
Promising an ingenious blend of reality and illusion, the show features celebrities embroiled in suburban disputes, portrayed and set to music by British Impressionists.
The first episode focuses on bus driver Kim Kardashian’s dream move to south-east London, which is quickly thrown off balance by clashes with her green-fingered neighbor Idris Elba. Idris, who lives downstairs, begins restricting use of her community garden, setting the stage for a contentious neighborhood war.
In a parallel storyline, set in Southend on Sea, climate activist Greta Thunberg clashes with her neighbors – florist Conor McGregor and scaffolder Ariana Grande – over their never-ending passion for Christmas decorations.
The second episode stars single mom Rihanna and her young son Kevin Hart, who previously had a friendly relationship with their neighbor Usain Bolt. But the arrival of Usain’s new partner, former farmer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, disrupts their harmonious existence.
Another story unfolds in Coventry, where caretaker and shopping channel enthusiast Adele is distraught when her new electric awning becomes the target of her neighbor Jake Paul’s carrier pigeon fleet.
