Less than a week after sponsoring the Brooklyn Museum's Artists Ball gala fundraiser, Dior was back at the museum with even more friends of the house in tow. The brand presented its pre-fall collection on Monday evening in the museum's Beaux-Arts Court, which was transformed into a catwalk with feminist neon art sculptures by artist Claire Fontaine installed around the room.
“I am so happy to be here; “I’m so happy to be home – and that Dior is coming to me,” said Rachel Zegler. “It's so nice to be in Brooklyn. I was born and raised in New York, so it's nice to live and work here and see beautiful fashion here.” The actress, an ambassador for the brand, opted for a velvet shorts and jacket set. “They actually made it especially for me,” she added. “Because I really wanted it and it wasn’t really available in my size. But they did it for me and I’m thrilled.”

The show proved to be a family affair: Naomi Watts attended with her daughter, as did Charlize Theron and Mickalene Thomas, while Anya Taylor-Joy brought her husband Malcolm McRae. Other guests in the front row included Rosamund Pike, who donned sunglasses and greeted Thomas with a hug, Michelle Williams, Alexandra Shipp, Diane Kruger, Anna Diop, Team USA surfer Carissa Moore and NewJeans K-pop star Haerin , who strolled into the venue with an entourage in tow.
Singer Tony Yu, who lives in China but lived in New York while studying at NYU, was only in town for the evening.

“We come as representatives of Dior China and come here to see the Fall 2024 women's collection show,” Yu said. “It's very interesting because Dior doesn't do quite as many shows in New York as in Paris. “The street vibe here is completely different and it’s a different feeling than the romantic Parisian aesthetic,” he added. “So I’m really excited to see what happens today.”
