Celebrities cheered during Manny Pacquiao’s charity show match with South Korean martial artist and YouTube sensation DK Yoo last Saturday at the KINTEX in Goyang, South Korea, where he won by unanimous decision.
Sports reporter Dayan Castillejo shared a ring view of those celebrities cheering on Paccquiao’s fight in her Instagram post of a short video today, December 12.
“I’m very excited. It’s been a while since we last saw him. We’re here with my in-laws. Very exciting,” said Sarah Lahbati, who claimed to be a part of every Pacquiao fight.
However, she regretted that her husband, Richard Gutierrez, was not present to accompany her, their children, and their in-laws while he was taping his action series The Iron Heart.
Along with Lahbati to watch Pacquiao’s game in South Korea was their son Zion. “It was so exciting. I was so happy that Pacquiao won. So I’ll always watch his fights now,” he said.
Just as excited as Lahbati was Arci Munoz, who said it was her second time watching Pambansang Kamao’s fight.
“I saw him in his last fight in (Las) Vegas. But I’m excited because it’s the first time I’ve seen him in an exhibition match,” she said in the video.
Meanwhile, veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez expressed his admiration for the actor-politician-boxer.
“You know, there are two idols in my life. One is Elvis Presley and the other is Manny Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao brought prestige to our country, that’s why I love him,” Gutierrez said.
Young actress Francine Diaz, who saw Pacquiao fight live for the first time, said: “Before I said it was a different feeling to see him face to face and it made me very proud. It makes me happy to be able to cheer for him in person because before that it was only ever on TV, eh.” (I said a while back that seeing him face to face is a different feeling and it does One so proud. It’s a happy experience to cheer for him personally because I only saw him on TV at the time.)
Other celebrities who joined the Pacquiao entourage were Anabelle Rama, wife of Eddie Gutierrez, who is also a boxing fan. it
