Olivia Newton-John died this morning after battling breast cancer, according to her husband John Easterling.
After the heartbreaking news began circulating around the internet, fans and former colleagues fondly remembered the 73-year-old actress and singer. who were quick to share their favorite memories, photos and clips from the star’s performance.
John Travolta was one of many celebrities to pay tribute to his Grease co-star.
“My dearest Olivia, you have made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was amazing. I love you so much. We’ll see you on the street and we’ll all be together again!
Your Danny, your John!” the 68-year-old wrote next to a souvenir photo of the accomplished actress, singer and activist on social media.

“Another angelic voice has been added to the Heavenly Choir. As well as being a dear friend, Olivia was one of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of recording and performing with. I will definitely miss her,” the statement said, in part.
Glenn Kenny, an American film critic and reporter, also recalled Newton-John’s influence on radio following the release of the Grease soundtrack.
“Olivia Newton-John provided the AM radio soundtrack to my youth, which makes it strange to be reminded that she was only a decade older than me. My friend Joe used to play around with the lyrics to one of her hits: ‘Please mister please don’t play Mit 17’. Because that was a sad song too,” he wrote.
