Model Bella was raised Muslim by her Jordanian-American father Mohamed Hadid and her Dutch-American mother Yolanda.

Her father Mohamed Hadid, 72, is a Palestinian who was born in Nazareth in November 1948, four months after his city was captured by Israeli forces.

The family fled to Syria and eventually to Washington DC. He holds Jordanian and American citizenship.
