While weight loss is a difficult task in itself, it gets harder when you’re a working mom. You are so busy with your responsibilities as a mother and worker that you cannot devote time to your health. I realized that if I wanted my confidence back, I had to do something about my weight gain.
However, rather than blindly following fad diets, I decided to go back to my roots. This is Indian food. In this day and age when there is such media hype about breads, peanut butter, health seeds, protein shakes, energy bars, you have promoted the need to stick to Indian foods and not to bread bread, brown rice or fancy salads.

Saying no to potatoes is the biggest mistake, eating potatoes leads to bloating and weight loss. Saying no to wheat roti is the biggest mistake. Eating it will fill you up and the weight will never recover once lost.
Exercise is important for losing weight — not at all, because 80 percent is diet, 20 percent is exercise. So if you don’t have time to exercise, you can still lose weight. Small meals speed up your metabolism – it’s a big myth that three meals you’ve been eating since childhood is good.
