On the first day of 2023, Sara Bareilles shared that she and boyfriend Joe Tippett were tying the knot!
“Yes, to marry this man. It’s a simple, deserved, chilled YES,” the singer wrote alongside a photo of herself gazing at Tippett in admiration.
“@joetipps you are exactly who I want. The more I know you, the more I know that I love you … and you introduced me to parts of me that I was afraid to love,” she continued. “And now I love ME more because of you. So this is really all about me.
Bareilles added: “What a gift you are. Let the games begin. Next in absolutely everything with you. ❤️.”
Adding his own post, the actor wrote: “I will marry this woman. I look forward to all the mornings, all the adventures, the laughter and all the love. Thanks my heart.”
The couple met while working on the musical adaptation of Waitress at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in August 2015 before it went to Broadway: Bareilles wrote the score and Tippett played Earl, the protagonist’s moody husband Story, Jenna, back then.
