A Bunch of Rich Moscow Celebrities Including ‘Putin’s Goddaughter’ Threw an ‘Almost Naked’-Themed Rager With a War Going On. And Russians Have a Problem With it Somehow.

I recently learned an interesting fact that puts human nature in a very, very unfortunate perspective. And that's it. During the last 3,500 years of human civilization, the world was at peace for 230 years. That's less than 6.6% of what we loosely define as recorded history.

So it's safe to say that war is our natural order. I mean, there aren't many things that our species deals with 93.4% of the time. So by any statistical measure, one can argue that war is not in our nature. Although this realization should be depressing. With Russia's bloody, costly and devastating invasion of Ukraine now in its 22nd month and with no end in sight, some Muscovites have decided to move on with their lives. And since this particular group are very well-connected oligarchs, it should come as no surprise to anyone that the life they led again is one of privilege and debauchery. What didn't go over well all in all:

Source – Russian war fanatics are furious over a “near-naked” party hosted in Moscow by wealthy showbiz celebrities, including Vladimir Putin’s “goddaughter.”

Critics compared the “debauched” gathering to Sodom and Gomorrah and claimed the wealthy stars' antics insulted those on the front lines of the Kremlin's illegal war on Ukraine.

Among the most visible guests was pregnant and braless Ksenia Sobchak, 40, a TV presenter and “liberal” Russian presidential candidate in 2018, in a nude Sorelle outfit.

She is known as Putin's goddaughter after he attended her christening and considered her late father Anatoly Sobchak his political mentor.

According to reports, the outburst of anger led to the high society party being reported to the public prosecutor, who will now examine it for illegality.

The seething TV propagandist Vladimir Solovyov stormed: “How morally deaf do you have to be?”

“Our boys are now fighting at the front.” To what extent should we not understand anything about the country, about Putin? …

“You can’t imagine how people hate and despise you.”…

The party – dress code “almost naked” – was organized by fashion blogger and socialite Nastya Ivleeva, 32, a TV presenter and actress.

She boasted about wearing £200,000 worth of diamonds and emeralds on her “skinny” bum.

“I decided not to overdo the look with the accessories and have a diamond worth 23 million.” [roubles] on the bottom would be enough.'

Gee Whiz. Relax, Vlad. And now prosecutors could charge her criminally? A way to kill enthusiasm. I mean, all Ivleeva did was tag Nastya with the “Nasty”:

And can we at least give her credit for toning it down a bit? She realized that in wartime, diamonds worth more than £200,000 and a stone worth 23 million rubles on her “bottom” would have been excessive. She kept it simple. For the troops. Like a true hero of Mother Russia. At Stalingrad, the ladies of The Flying Witches turned off their planes' engines as they approached the German lines to drop their bombs, leaving the Nazi bastards running around in their underpants, helping them achieve a glorious victory. Now Nasty-a is doing her part in that war effort by dialing back the sexy a few notches. So come on, finally get rid of her skinny ass.

As for Ksenia Sobchak: What's the point of having a supremely powerful authoritarian ruler at your baptism if you can't shake your pregnant ass in a see-through dress 40 years later? Do you think that the godson, who was baptized when Michael Corleone was in charge of all family affairs, had to grow up to obey the rules of polite society? That's the whole reason you want to marry into a well-connected family. Otherwise you might as well be another farmer-nobody.

So back off, Russians. What do you want, those smokers who sit at home and read Dostoyevsky until the war is over? That's not how we do it here, I can tell you that. There's a famous clip of Bob Hope playing a Christmas show for USO overseas where he presents the guys with a few starlets to stare at and says, “I just wanted to remind you guys what you're fighting for.” Personally, I've either forgotten or never understood what the Russian troops are fighting for. But there must be some on the front lines who get a morale boost knowing they are on the home front fighting for rich prostitutes who ostentatiously flaunt their wealth.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get ready for an ugly sweater party and think about how dull and boring my life is. Peace.
