Let’s face it, vacations contribute to better mental health and overall happiness. And there’s just something about an island vacation; Sun, sand and sea are literally medicine! So it makes sense that many of our favorite stars own private islands.

1.Leonardo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio owns a $1.75 million 104-acre island called Blackadore Caye in Belize. Where he also built an eco-resort, FYI.

2. Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan owns an estate on a private island in Dubai. It’s called Jannat and is located in Palm Jumeriah. The villa on the island costs 2.8 million dollars.

3. Shakira
Shakira bought an island called Bonds Cay in the Bahamas in the northern Berry District for $16 million in 2011. The 700-hectare island has five beaches, and the singer reportedly bought it with the intention of turning it into an eco-friendly themed hotel.

4.Pamela Anderson
The Baywatch star was gifted a private island off the coast of Dubai by her ex-husband Tommy Lee as he tried to win her back. And while there were rumors that she was turning it into an eco-resort, there hasn’t been any visible development in that regard.

5.Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt also received a 50th birthday present from his ex-wife Angelina Jolie in Petra, an island about 50 miles off the coast of New York.
6. Beyoncé & Jay-Z
The power couple own two private islands in the Bahamas and Florida. The exact locations will not be disclosed as they prefer to keep this private.

Actor George Clooney owns a multimillion-dollar, 12-acre private island (along with a massive mansion) on the River Thames, 37 miles from London.
