While many of these professionals support the strikes, prominent makeup artists have also spoken out about their own challenges. Over the past five months, they have struggled with empty schedules due to the ongoing protests. Hopefully, with Wag reaching a tentative agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) on Sunday, their schedules will start to fill up again.

1. Mario Dedivanovic

Dedivanovic was born and raised in the Bronx to Albanian immigrant parents from Montenegro. He began his career as a fragrance consultant at Sephora and now counts Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Kylie Jenner and Salma Hayek among his long-term clients.

In 2020, he founded his own cosmetics brand Makeup By Mario.

The LA-based makeup artist has worked with big names like Megan Fox, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Shay Mitchell, Camila Cabello, Bebe Rexha, Becky G and Candice Swanepoel during her time in the spotlight.

Holm’s talents have also been recognized by luxury brands, as she has collaborated with Chanel Beauty, Dior Beauty and Maybelline. The Swedish-Lebanese creative is recognized for her ability to create glamorous looks, especially for red carpets and party nights.

The Hadid sisters regularly choose Patrick Ta for their radiant makeup because of his reputation for bringing out the best in women’s features.

Raised by Vietnamese parents, Ta said on his website: “Growing up, nothing was just given to him.” Thanks to his hard work and his journey to stardom with clients including Rihanna, Emily Ratajkowski, Jessica Alba and Shay Mitchell, he founded Patrick Ta in 2019 Beauty.

7. Ariel Tejada
