Celebrities from all walks of life have a long history of being involved in the wrestling business. From the likes of Mohammad Ali to recent addition Logan Paul, it’s easy to see which superstars absolutely love the business and which are turning up for a paycheck.
But even those who love the business don’t always translate into great in-ring performances. They just aren’t athletes or can’t transfer their on-screen charisma to live audiences. For every bad bunny, Logan Paul, or Stephen Amell, there’s a celebrity or two who should never have stepped into the ring.
10 Seth Green
Lifelong fan Seth Green has been in and around Hollywood for as long as he has watched WWE. Being part of Raw during the Guest Host Era was the dream of a lifetime. He also mouthed a little too much, finding himself in the crosshairs of The Viper and the rest of Legacy.
John Cena and Triple H would come to the star’s aid and set up the evening’s main event. Unfortunately, Seth Green looked very much like a proto-macro stunt in the ring, and that’s no compliment.
9 David Arquette
No, he certainly didn’t belong in the ring with the likes of Jeff Jarrett or Diamond Dallas Page. David Arquette definitely doesn’t belong in WCW champion history. But it all happened. Fans cite the moment as one of the many reasons the company went under.
Arquette may not believe it, but he’s also worked hard to build a better reputation in the industry, as seen in the documentary You Can’t Kill David Arquette.

8th Jay Leno
Say what you will about the other members on this list, but at least they had some athletic ability or were young and vigorous. Then there’s Jay Leno. In 1998, there wasn’t a bigger late-night talk show than The Tonight Show. There was also nothing bigger than the nWo.
Why not combine both, right? Eric Bischoff was able to confiscate the set of the Tonight Show. In retaliation, he challenged Bischoff and Hogan to a match at Road Wild. But even with DDP as his tag team partner, the match was nothing but farce.
7 Shaquille O’Neil
For several years, the world’s two greatest athletes, The Big Show and Shaq, circled each other like bulls waiting for the right moment to take it on. The first time Shaq was involved in a match was the ARMBAR at WrestleMania 32.
A little less than five years later, the big man had his first real match, teaming with Jade Cargill in their first match ever – against Cody and Red Velvet. Shaq held his ground, but wrestling wasn’t something he would ever do again.
6 Cain Velazquez
During his UFC career, the bane of Brock Lesnar’s existence was Cain Velasquez. The former fighter is the reason The Beast has a scar under his right eye. He defeated Lesnar for the UFC Heavyweight Championship, giving Lesnar his second loss in the process.
But when Velasquez came to WWE, he wasn’t nearly as natural a performer as Lesnar. His first and only match in WWE against Lesnar was a debacle and Velasquez was released a few months later.
5 Mister. BILLION
Mr. T headlined the very first WrestleMania and was a big part of the second in a boxing match against Roddy Piper. But back when the business was more protected, it was difficult to set aside some ring time to prepare for the match.
Considering what was going on at the very first WrestleMania, most of the time Piper or Orton did whatever it took to limit Mr. T in the ring, resulting in an underperforming main event.
4 Kevin Federline
Somewhere between the Dr. Of Thugonomics John Cena and the Cena Suck John Cena, old Mr. Britney Spears himself, Kevin Federline appeared on Raw. Someone’s clearly got it in their heads that if they book K-Fed, Britney might show up.
Not only did they never happen, but Federline even beat John Cena live on Monday Night Raw, albeit with some help from John Morrison.
3 Colin Jost and Michael Che
About a month before WrestleMania 35, two of Saturday Night Live’s top writers, Colin Jost and Michael Che, appeared on Raw. Both idiots ticked off The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman.
For some reason, that meant getting involved in Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, which, if you didn’t already think it was a joke, sealed the involvement of two comedians. They stayed under the ring most of the time until trying to eliminate Strowman, who heaved them over the top with ease.
2 snooki
In 2011, The Jersey Shore’s debauched adventures had captivated a certain segment of the audience. Snooki, one of the most recognizable names from the show, had come to WWE, and Vickie Guerrero, her client Dolph Ziggler, and LayCool took offense, leading to a match against John Morrison, Snooki, and Trish Stratus, who retired from that nonsense .
Snooki worked hard to adapt, but unfortunately the match flattened an already pretty shallow crowd.
1 Jenna Morasca
In another segment of TNA attempting to copy WWE, they also attempted to garner a celebrity. Survivor’s Z-List reality star Jenna Morasca has been revealed as a benefactor of the Main Event Mafia.
She was also coached by Awesome Kong for a match with Queen Sharmell at Victory Road – the match was immediately voted the worst match on a card that was the worst event of the year.
