Some young traders may mock at this and may say it's just not the same, or that they would like to feel the risk, etc. If they wanna practise their work in a real environment before testing it out in a simulator, then so be it. IMHO it's not a good idea, just as it's not wise for United Airlines to ask newbie pilots to fly 747's before training them in flight simulator. Nothing wrong with Demo Trading accounts either. In fact I have noticed when I try too hard, I become tense and I tend to make more mistakes for myself and just dont recoginise chart patterns. Patterns such as resistance/support; head and shoulders; bull/bear flags, etc. Yes, and I aggree with you on the point about trying to Impress - it is akin to "forcing" a trade that just does not exist to prove to other fellow traders that "See, Iam right". In reality, you have likely taken a loss and not told anyone to admit a mistake!! I speak from experience, but there's no shame in learning from my mistakes.
